Unwanted left sidebar

  My site is displaying three widgets in the left sidebar (Archives, Category and Pages). All three widgets were never activated by me and are currently Inactive. While I utilize the right side-bar the way that I want, My left sidebar is BLANK under “Manage Widgets”!
  How do I get rid of this?

  “Manage Widgets” is not a WordPress.com feature, and suggests that you are referring to a WordPress.org website. Please visit the WordPress.org Support Forums, and restate the issue there.
