Unwanted links under my own in technical blog

How to remove unwanted google and face book links. Suddenly the diagrams in my blog which contain links to my file have been grayed-out and nasty links appear to Facebook/Twitter and Google. I don’t want any of these on my blog.

And there’s an equally awful tool bar now splashed across the top of my blog … more of the damned Facebook junk.

I have been do happy with WordPress up until now. But these additions are nasty and invasive. I’ve tried blocking sharing on the posts. Removed the icons from sharing page. I can’t get rid of them See the templates for Gimp 2.6 and 2.8 for an example of how they’ve ruined my blog.

    Thanks ….. Nikki

Can you give us a link to a post where this is occurring? I’m not seeing it on your main page.

Wow … you are fast! Thanks.

Here’s the link … scroll down to the two templates. One is greyed out and the other is blacked out.

I finally found the problem. And it wasn’t WordPress. It was some adware which had infested my computer. I believe it was either Babylon or Fun Moods. I pulled everything and restarted Firefox and the noxious pop ups disappeared. They are attached to AARP games if you don’t download directly from the site and there are deceptive listings actually highlighted in a pink box by Google search on Firefox … these carry the noxious add ons. The Babylon translation site does likewise.

    Sorry for the late response.
