Unwanted location for Primary Navigation menu

I don’t want the Primary Navigation menu in the header photo – I want the photo clean and beautiful, as it is. So I created a custom menu in the sidebar, which I then selected as “currently set to: Primary Navigation” However, I can’t get the menu which is in the photo to go away. When I delete the listed pages, they get deleted also from the sidebar menu.

So at the moment I have three menus:
    1) Blog Posts (widget in sidebar)
    2) Menu 1(the unwanted header photo menu, originally “Primary”)
    3) Renew the Church Pages (“currently set to: Primary…” in sidebar)

Is there a way I can eliminate the menu in the photo?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hmmmm – I found a “delete menu” option in an “edit menus” page for my “Menu 1” –
    – I was afraid to choose it for fear I’d lose more than I wanted. Is this the solution, simple as it looks?

Never mind – I worked it out. I pointed “Primary Navigation” menu from “Default” to Menu X, which I had populated with two “Categories”. I deleted the “Categories” one at a time and saw them disappear from the Header with no bad complications, so when Menu X was empty, the Header was clear with only the photo. Problem solved.
