Unwanted notifications
-
I am constantly receiving notifications about new blog posts from the site https://stratistoria.wordpress.com/ . Now, the site might be interesting to me if I could understand it (it is about military history, but I don’t know Greek) but as it is, it is useless. More importantly, even if it weren’t useless, I do not want constant notifications in my toolbar / notification button. Email subscription is more than enough.
Thing is, I have never read the blog until I started getting these notifications, I have not subscribed to it, nor followed it on wordpress. So why am I getting this spam, and how to get rid of it?
Screenshot below, of the blog in question and all the recent notifications:

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there @domobran7 — this is an odd one. Our records say your account subscribed to this about 3 weeks ago. Is there any chance you’re accidentally leaving yourself logged in on shared computers?
Here’s what I’d recommend:
- Change your password, and enable 2FA if you’re willing. Please be sure to print or even write down your backup codes and put them someplace safe.
- Update us here with your permission, and we can make sure all sessions & apps are logged out. You’ll need to log back in of course.
- Then, go to https://wordpress.com/following/manage and unfollow any sites you’re not actually interested in. You can also change the notification settings if you’d like.
Let us know when you’re ready!

It seems I actually made a mistake here – I found a blog post on that blog that I remember reading before subscribing to it. So I did subscribe to it, but without realizing that majority of the blog is in Greek, not English.
Sorry, my mistake.
Still, this is the first time that notifications about new posts on another blog have appeared on the “bell” notifications.

Gotcha. You can adjust that setting here:
https://wordpress.com/following/manage
Tap the settings gear for that blog and adjust notifications to your liking.
Would you still like us to log you out of your logged-in sessions, just in case?
