Unwanted RSS Link Widget

  A “Subscribe RSS” Link Widget appears on my homepage even though I have cleared all widgets from my blog (which I use as a website). I deactivated all widgets with the exception of the text widget (per WordPress instructions for removing widgets). But still that RSS Link Widget is right there. Why is it still there and how can I remove it?

  That’s not a widget: it is built into your site. If you don’t want it, you can either change themes or buy the Custom Design upgrade to get rid of it. If you don’t make blog posts, though, nothing will ever go out on the feed so you needn’t worry about it.
