Unwanted Site Format Change

The aesthetics of my website has been altered without action on my end and I am wondering if this has to do with my current theme (the Luxury theme) being no longer supported. Is it possible for you to change the way the website showed up to the way it was before the theme lost support? It claims on the website that you should still be able to old themes just as you did before.WP.com: Yes

The site was using the Luxury Theme as part of the site’s Business Plan.
The site’s Business plan expired on November 25, 2020 when it wasn’t renewed, and as such the theme provided by the plan was removed.
Since the Luxury Theme is retired, and the plan expired, it cannot be re-added to the site, but we do have hundreds of other theme’s to choose from: https://wordpress.com/themes

The site looked fine until recently. Has something changed to make the theme appear broken? If we change the theme we will have to complete redesign the way website looks; is there any alternative to this?

If you change the theme, there may be some additional work to be done, but it won’t be extensive.

One last question, if we re-start the Business Plan, will the theme still able to use the theme?

To restore your site back to its previous state, you would need to upgrade back to a Business plan.

Okay, I have upgraded to the Business Plan. So you would suggest that I use the archived backup option? On the JetPack Backup subpage, it says that I need to activate this feature. Will I have access to pre-activation back ups?

I suspect that the issue here is that the Business Plan was initially purchased under the account of another admin on your site, but now the plan has a new “owner” and that is causing some confusion in our system
