Unwanted Space After Color Text
-
Hello.
I’m using wordpress.com and the “Cubic” theme.
When I change the color of a word, and that word is directly preceding a punctuation mark, there is a space added between the word and the punctuation that I can’t get rid of.
I can’t change the color of text right here in this editor, but the sentence comes out like this, but with the last word a different color:
Hello to you .
I change text color by highlighting the word, clicking the down “more” arrow in the editor, and selecting “Highlight.” The HTML that is created looks like this:
<p>Hello to <mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#008800" class="has-inline-color">you</mark>.</p>Any ideas on how to get rid of that space? Thanks.

Hey, while I’m here, what is up with the WP color chooser? That area there to enter a hex code tries to auto-complete and doesn’t allow one to finish typing the digits in. I want to type 008800 and as soon as I type 008 it fills in 000088 and I can’t change it. The only way to get the right code in there is to type it somewhere else, copy it, then paste it in WP.

Three days later, my post is on page six with no replies and I’ve received two emails from WP trying to sell me stuff.
One of the emails ends with this:
When there’s a problem you can’t solve, you can count on us to be there.Sure.
