Unwanted text ads
-
I frequently see text ads linked to some words and phrases on my website. I checked my “adds on” there is nothing there to cause the problem. I click to opt out of these annoying texts but they keep appearing from different services. How can I get ride of them permanently?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s possible for ads to appear in your browser that were *not* placed there by WordPress.com. These ads are sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser.
These sites have further explanations and suggestions for eliminating the ads:

If you continue to have trouble with these ads, you’re welcome to make a screenshot of what you see on your site. You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media—> Add New in your dashboard. We can take a look to see if there is another problem.

Thank you so much for your reply.
I’ve checked out the extensions and the toolbar. Nothing seems to be wrong with them. I guess, as you mentioned there might be a virus or malware. -
@oldzkrm – I see that @auxclass and I also discussed this in your earlier forum thread here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/skype-call-button?replies=12#post-1566747
Can you point to a particular post where you see such text ads so we can have a look as well?
Also, if you have not completely disabled your extensions and toolbars and then cleared your browser cache and cookies, shut down and reopened your browser, you won’t find out if it is an extension or toolbar that is causing the problem. Add them back one by one to find the problematic one. I especially recommend reading the onecoolsite post for possible culprits.

Hi Jeniffer,
I remember that thread.
I’m now sure that a virus/malware is causing this problem.
Thank you for your attention. :)Have a nice day.. :)

Recently had the same problem: double-underlined colored text that brought up ads. Got rid of the malware by following the instructions here:
Browser Redirect Virus – Undo Shady Changes and Stop Redirects
A wonderful website! But print out their instructions before you start, and follow them carefully.
