Unwanted text color change bug

  Dear WordPressers,

  Sometime in the past month, the default color for text in the body of my posts turned to a light grey–the same hue you find in caption text. I’ve since gotten in the habit of writing what I’m going to write in the body of my post, highlighting the text, and then changing the color to black. The problem with this is that the black provided on the color palette is too dark, too severe. It doesn’t match the previous default black (as you can tell by comparing older posts with those from the past month). I don’t screw around the template, so I don’t know what happened. I want my old black back! Can you help me?

  OOPS! I see that you posted a differnt blog up there but it isn’t an active link. hhere’s an active one http://hoteluniverso.wordpress.com/ Maybe another Volunteer can help you. I can’t. I’m using Firefox 3.6.13 to vitew thw blog and I don’t see anything any different about it than what I see on my test blog using the same theme.

  Have you by chance changed the browser you are using? Have you tried logging out force clearing your browser cache and cookies and then logging in again? I just checked your blog in IE8 as well. I have now random checked posts in 3 months in both Firefox 3.6.13 and I cannot see what you see.

  I’m seeing the standard text color in the posts and pages as well in Firefox, Opera and Safari.

  The difference is best seen between the posts of Jan. 15 and Jan. 22. But in any case, force clearing my cache (Firefox 3.6.13) did the trick! The default text in the body of new posts is back to the dark charcoal grey (almost black, but not quite) that I grew to love.

  Sorry guys, no: the difference is very hard to tell, but the latest five posts are #000 (because he made them so) while the rest are #333 (the default of the theme).

  David, I suggest you publish a new test post without changing the color of the text so we can see if it’ll turn up light grey or not.
