Unwanted widgets appearing in sidebar

    I was recently experimenting with new themes for my site, and now when I set the visibility of widgets to ‘hidden’ on Pages, the widgets I have set up do disappear, but a host of new ones disappear (search field, Bookmarks, Categories, Archives, and Meta). Needless to say, I really need to get rid of these – I prefer not to have widgets showing on Pages. I’d be very grateful for any help I could get with this!

    The site in question is benitajprins.wordpress.com. (It’s not a problem with the theme itself, as the same issue occurs with other sites I operate.)
