Unwanted Yellow Highlight Appearing in Text for Gutenburg-Based Blocks

  Today I noticed that when text in Gutenburg-Based blocks (such as paragraph blocks and tables) are colored and there is no background, there’s a yellow highlight for the text. See this post as an example: https://andynwof.wordpress.com/2022/12/01/wof-recap-december-1-2022/

  It’s also happening on my website, https://jl270147098.wordpress.com/ for two of the footer labels, “MY LATEST POSTS” and “CATEGORIES”.

  Are any of you experiencing this same issue as me?

  Hi there! If you edit one such piece of text and use the “inline color” function, are you able to remove the yellow background which appears?

  I’m primarily asking just to check if it does work for you to remove it! Additionally, is there any chance that the table in https://andynwof.wordpress.com/2022/12/01/wof-recap-december-1-2022/, or even the footer labels, could have been cut/pasted from anywhere when you originally inserted it?

  It happens when you change the text color using the Highlight tool from the dropdown menu. Also, the text in the table weren’t cut/pasted anywhere. It appears that there’s a bug with the editor because I checked the HTML coding for the post and noticed that it’s missing this code: “background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);” . I seriously hope this gets fixed soon.

  Hi there, just wanted to update you that our dev team just shipped a fix for in the past hour. On your end you will need to open the post, make a minor change (like deleting or adding punctuation), then save the changes. Re-saving any post/page with this issue should return it to the correct appearance.

  I was kind of hoping that the posts would fix by themselves, though, but regardless, thanks for making the fix.
