Unzoomed/Cropped Page Header Featured Images

I am attempting to use images for the featured image’s on each of my sub pages for my site http://butchsdrydockholland.wordpress.com – I’m wondering if this is possible? Or are there possibly certain dimensions I should be cropping my images to so that they don’t get zoomed in/cropped when I put them in? Any help is appreciated!

Hi there, the way Pique is designed, the height of the panels remain relatively fixed, and it is very difficult to turn that into an adjustable height element where the image will always remain full. I’ve worked on this before and never really gotten to a place where it was acceptable at all screen sizes. What I would suggest is to size your featured images to the recommended size in the quick specs section at the bottom of the Pique Theme Showcase page (1400 x 1000) and then keep in mind that the crop and resize is from the center, so keep the most important part of the image close to the center.

You are welcome, and sorry I don’t have a magic wand for your request. Hopefully sizing the images and keeping an eye on the content in the image will make things better.
