Up grade went wrong

    upgraded the wrong site (NCretina.org) to biz plan, it should stay at the previous level (personal) and want to make a different site to Biz plan, need to talk to someone…

    In the meanwhile, will you be able to share with us the URL for the site you intended to upgrade instead of NCretina.org?

    Or you can reply to this post and confirm if you intended to upgrade kg4wez.wordpress.com to a Business plan here on WordPress.com.

    Hope this points you in the right direction of support.

    Sorry but I am more of an old newbie!

    I have a non profit educational page on wordpress RetinaClub.org that should stay at the personal level.

    I am trying to start a new web page and blog at ECretina.com (that currently points to eastCarolinaRetina.com – also mine.) I need to migrate my two web pages in steps. I thought I would take ecretina.com and move it to word press and work on a new web page. Later I will close down the old web page at eastCarolinaRetina.com and point it to ECRetina.com when it is up and running satisfactorily. This is the business account I think I need?
    Help!

    Hi there,

    To make sure we’re on the same page – you want to add a business plan to a site that you are about to migrate over to WordPress.com (ECRetina.com). However, you accidentally upgraded another WordPress.com site from Personal to Business (NCretina.org). You want to revert that site back to personal and move the business plan over to ECRetina.com. Is that correct?

    The problem is that I do not see any purchases under the account you are contacting us from. Before I can assist you further, can you post in this thread under the account that you purchased the business plan under?

    I currently see the Business Plan under your account connected to retinaclub.org. That is the only site under this account at the moment. However, as soon as you migrate over the site you want the business plan connected to, I’d be happy transfer that plan over to the new site and downgrade retinaclub.org to the Personal Plan.

    Hi there,

    Sure! I see that the domain is currently registered elsewhere. Are you wanting to transfer the domain over or are you wanting to keep the domain over at it’s current host and map the domain over to your WordPress.com site?

    To transfer the domain, here is our support page that provides step by step instructions:

    To map the domain over to your WordPress.com site, you can follow these instructions from our support page:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

    I would suggest creating the WordPress.com site first:

    https://wordpress.com/start/about

    You do not need to worry about adding content yet, I just won’t be able to transfer the business plan and you would not be able to move the domain over until a site and address is created.

    Ok I just created the new site ecretinacom.wordpress.com and payed for the business plan. Can you now change the retinaclub.org back to the personal plan and cancel the charges on my card? Thanks in advance!

    @peteravanhouten all sorted — I’ve got your refund on its way. Also I noticed you were on Premium previously, not Personal, so I’ve downgraded to Premium.

    The only remaining step is that you will need to re-add a card if you’d like Premium to auto-renew. You can do that at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

    Noting too, with a Business and Premium plan, you can reach out to staff directly at http://wordpress.com/help/contact rather than using the forums, or you’re also welcome to work with us here.
