Write it in Windows Live Writer or another offline blogging software. Word is so terribly incompatible with blogs that it has a special post in the FAQ about how terribly incompatible it is.

    Why not to use Word

If you want to write offline and put formatting and embeds and images in, use an offline blogging software. Several are discussed on http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com

There is zero – repeat zero – difficulty in copying and pasting a post written in Word. It’s what I do. Just copy it in the normal way, and post it into the New Post pane using the Paste from Word button – it’s the one with the Word icon on it.

The problems arise when people post directly from Word, bypassing the Paste from Word function – it screws up the code, as you’ll see on that link above.

Note that the link above refers to pasting directly into the New Post pane, NOT using the Post from Word function. As for the final comment on that page “Just don’t use Word – or expect to see and have to fix mistakes.” if you use the correct procedure, as above it just does not happen. That’s why WordPress provide the Paste from Word function in the first place.

Thank You all for your comments. I will work on this today and see which ends up being the best way for me to do it on a regular basis.
