Upcoming and Past Events with More Information

    I am looking for a way to display both upcoming and past events that is not in a calendar format. Eventbrite seems to do upcoming events only, and that helps with getting audiences, but it does not show a history of where a musician has been playing, which is a very important part of the music business. Calendar integrations I’ve seen are not visually attractive and don’t provide easy access to enough information. (If I am missing better examples of how this can be used with photos etc., please let me know. That would be great).

    What I would really like to do is integrate the Facebook events page into the site, or create something that looks similar and is easy to update.

    We had been doing manual add-ons to an events page, but it is difficult to keep up and formatting is a challenge; however, the plus side is that it shows past performances.

    Is there a way to do what we need on WordPress.com?

    I have not used that. The information says that the widget is for upcoming events only. Am I misunderstanding the capabilities?

    Hmmm, this is also a plugin that is not available on all the plans.

    Before anything else: what plan do you have? You’d need a Business Plan to be able to install plugins. Here’s the page for WordPress plans: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    If you have the Business Plan for the website you’re working on, then we’re on the right track. :D

    Have you seen the Import Facebook Events plugin? I haven’t tried it myself, but from the name, it may be what you need to import Facebook events. It looks like you can show past events, as well, and it works with other Events plugins. It also looks like there are several ways to display the calendar. I’m not sure if those fits the bill for your styling preferences, though. Maybe you’d like to check it out. :) https://wordpress.com/plugins/import-facebook-events/nickfaulconer.com
