Upcoming Event widget view – why I do not see an attachement (.jpg) ?

  I do not see the attachement (.jpg) to an event inside my Upcoming Event Widget ?
  That .jpg was made Public in the Google Calendar.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Google calendars as far as I am aware do not display images. They’re rather dry looking at the best of times.

  Perhaps you also know if I can somehow show more than a rough text inside Upcoming Event Widget ?

  I’ve never used it and never heard of anyone putting an image in it. From looking at it, it seems you cannot put an image in it. It’s not very configurable. You might be able to use an image or text widget right above it so that it looks like a part of the Upcoming Event widget?
