I am using a plugin to create a list of upcoming events on my side bar, but they are listed twice. How do I get them to only show once?

There is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers can’t install plugins for security reasons. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ Also note that there is no upgrade you can purchase that allows FTP access and the ability to install plugins. Only those with WordPress.org installs can use plugins http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I’m sorry, this is all kind of new to me. So am I looking in the wrong place to find a solution for this problem? Maybe I am calling it the wrong name, the calendar part that feeds the info is a plug-in, the side part piece is a widget. Does that make a difference?

That’s WordPress.ORG issue that does not apply to the free hosted WordPress.COM blog linked to your username, and we cannot help with it here at WordPress.COM. Support for WordPress>ORG installs is provided on the WordPress.ORG support forums and they are here http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click that link and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the correct support forums for your software.

http://livelaughbewell.wordpress.com/ is a private wordpress.com blog.
