upcoming events as a list on page

    Hello: I’ve been trying to add upcoming events, linked to the google calendar. I don’t want the whole calendar to be visible – only the next 3 upcoming events. (similar to how it’s shown on the widget, but would rather insert into the page like a list).
    I’ve used the ical embed code & Ive tried the ical format code (the one ending in ics) and placed it into the html code of the page – with quotes and brackets but only the code shows up when I go back to the ‘visual’ page. I’m sure I’ve left something out. Please walk me through this.

    Hi Janet,

    To show the three most recent events on a page I’d recommend using the Upcoming Events shortcode placed into the visual editor of your page. This will look something like:

    [upcomingevents number=3 url="https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/YOUREMAIL%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics"]

    I’ve tested this on your Events page, and it displayed the events. Add the code back in or check the revision history if you’d like to see my test.

    Using the Google Calendar embed will display the full calendar which doesn’t sound like what you’re looking for.
