Upcoming events time is wrong
-
We have an upcoming events widget pulling from a Google calendar and some events have the wrong time, they are showing as starting an hour earlier. It seems to be the ones scheduled after daylight savings time on the 3/15. Even a recurring event shows at the correct time of 11am before 3/15 and then 10am after.
The time zone is set correctly for both our site and the calendar in their respective settings and importing the calendar in apple’s calendar showed the correct times.

Hi there,
We recently deployed an update to fix an issue with timezones in upcoming events. Please try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page. There are instructions for different browsers here:
Let me know how you get on.
Thanks!

Thanks for the info!
I cleared out my browser cache and refreshed, but nothing changed. I tried in Firefox and Safari. Anything else I can try?

Ok, thanks for the update — I’ve reported this to the developers. When I have more information, I’ll post a reply here.

I have the same issue. Events after the daylight saving change day (26th March) are shown with the time an hour earlier than that specified in my Google Calendar.
My problematic page is https://friendsotheath.wordpress.com/events/
I hope you can fix this soon.
Thanks.

Hi again,
We’ve been working on this issue — can you check the times again? If anything doesn’t look right, just reply here.

I’ve found the solution that fixes the issue for me.
I changed the Timezone in General Settings from UTC+0 to London. I guess by doing so I’m telling WP to use London’s daylight saving dates.
Best wishes.

@prospectfarmbk — fantastic, thanks for letting me know!
@kevgriff — as long as the timezone settings in your calendar match those on your site, the correct times should be displayed.
