upcoming events widget and calendar page show different times

  I have a widget on my sidebar for upcoming events as well as a calendar page. Both are based on the same google calendar and have the same code in the wordpress admin side of things. All events and dates are good, yet calendar shows correct time and upcoming events widget is one hour off (sooner). Why is this? You can see this at my page:

  Hello,

  I am having the same problem with my calendar and upcoming events widget. I emailed wordpress help and they said the timezone is wrong on the Google calendar page, which does not make since as the calendar (using the same time zone as the widget) has the correct time. If it was the time zone wouldn’t they both be off?

  WordPress was no help and this problem still is a problem.

  Hey there!

  Currently our Upcoming Events widget is having trouble with the upcoming daylight savings time switch. After the DST change begins, the widget will update itself, but we’re working on getting it fixed so that it will show the time change beforehand.

  We don’t have an ETA on this, but it is something we’re actively working on.

  Arghh…went through a bunch of suggested changes, including flipping both my google calendar settings and my wordpress blog settings to UTC and back to my timezone. Now my ‘upcoming events’ is still off by one hour (the daylight savings thing…which I imagine is being ignored away as this sunday starts daylight savings), but my ‘calendar’ page shows events in UTC. I’ve made sure everything is set to eastern time, I even created a temporary calendar page to see if it got the right times, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions!? This is a bad time for this to be happening as there are a lot of people looking to my site for days/times.
