Upcoming Events widget blocks links in description

  I would like to use the Upcoming Events widget to draw people back to event listings on my WP.com site.

  To do that, I was planning on adding the WP.com URL to a Google Calendar event description and have it appear in the widget via ICS.

  However, no dice, that URL is being stripped out.

  Are there another ways of accomplishing this objective?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
