upcoming events widget does not properly support timezones

  The events of my google calender show up with a different time in my “upcoming events widget”.

  try it out: my public google calendar (with a european timezone):
  https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=sn8noq1u864n234gr8vs2qitb8%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/Brussels

  the related shortcode that works out of the box in any wordpress.com page/article:
  shown at: http://jazzarlon.wordpress.com/prochains-concerts/

  The event on Dec 16, 2012, starts at 4PM in the google calendar (which is correct) and 3PM in the wordpress upcoming events shortcode (and widget), which is wrong… and i guess is UTC instead of UTC+1.

  any idea how I can fix this?

  There’s another report of that here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/upcoming-events-widget-lists-wrong-times?replies=5 it appears to be a bug.
