Upcoming Events Widget Duplicates

    Hi,

    I’m currently having duplicate events in my Upcoming Events widget displayed even though the Calendar app only has one event listed for a given day. March 1st only has one Zoning Board Meeting, but it’s showing up twice in the widget. Site is http://www.caldwell-dems.com.

    Hi @techrament, is this a repeating event on your calendar program? I’m looking at the ICS file and it mentions it’s supposed to repeat, but only until that same day it starts:

    RRULE:FREQ=MONTHLY;UNTIL=20170301T235959Z
    …
    DTSTART;TZID=America/New_York:20170301T190000

    I’m wondering if that’s causing an issue. Since it’s not really repeating if it’s supposed to stop repeating on the same date anyway, can you try removing the repeat settings to see if that helps?

    Yes, this is a repeating event. It’s supposed to repeat every month. Is it not doing that? It seems to be on the calendar app.

    @techrament I don’t see future events with that date, aside from just the one. If you remove the repeat, does it work?

    Future events don’t have the same date. I’m just trying to get a monthly event, which repeats on my calendar on a certain day, to show up that way in the upcoming widget.

    @techrament I understand. I’m wondering if you wouldn’t mind temporarily disabling the repeat to see whether that’s where the bug is. You’ll need to disable it, then update me here so I can make sure all cache is cleared to see if that resolves it. If it does will will know what to troubleshoot from there.
