Upcoming Events widget lists wrong times

Hi there,

To the users having problems syncing their widget with their calendars: I also recommend @skateamherstburg’s suggestion of resetting BOTH your blog and your calendar to UTC/GMC+0 and then once they properly sync, you should be able to restore your correct timezones.

I’ve tried resetting the Upcoming Event plugin and the Google calendar as described, and I’m still having the same problem. It’s a bit different though, in that only events that occur on Mondays are syncing incorrectly. Most often, these are full-day events–I wonder if that makes a difference? Is there something I could do to the Google calendar events to make them sync better with this plugin?

Having incorrect time displayed with widget. Event in Google calendar is 10am-12pm and widget shows 5am-7am.

Attempted some of what I have seen in this thread and now I have the same event listed twice, one incorrect and the second correct?? Cannot get rid of double event listing even after removing widget, clearing cache and reloading.

It seems to be limited to events that are all-day events. Events with specific times are displaying correctly.

The second event listing (which was correct) is now gone leaving incorrect event listing. My event has a specific time frame not an all day event. I changed event time in Google Calendar to see if widget would pick it up and it did not…no matter the time entered for the event, the widget dispays 5am-7am.

Mine just isn’t syncing *at all* and it’s driving me batty – I’ve been documenting my struggles to get it to work in my own thread for two weeks, but no joy :/

Go to Dashboard, Settings, General – and check timezone, that should fix it.

The upcoming events widget has been updated to fix the problem where recurring events weren’t being displayed with the wrong time. Sorry for the trouble!

If you’re still having any trouble, please start a new help request because this thread is very long and has multiple issues.
