  Upcoming events widget not showing events in public Google calendar.

  I double checked both the calendar and the individual events, and they are all set to public. Anyone have any other suggestions, or is this a bug? I feel like I’m missing something.

  Thank you. I did, and just tried it again. Actually, I tried all three types of links just to make sure the documentation was correct – no luck! Any other suggestions??

  When visiting and opening your calendar link/like: http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/conncoll.edu_fvnbiu6djnlu6hgfdn7bol4a1g%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics I got this error message: Calendar can not read the calendar file. No new activities were added to your calendar. Did you assign the events to the correct calendar?

  That’s strange, I just checked and the event on Monday is definitely assigned to that calendar and is public. I’m going to delete the calendar, create a new one and hope it works.

  Interesting. I created a new calendar using my personal gmail account. This works beautifully! Then I tried again using my work email (we use Google Apps for Education, the calendar is part of that), and it doesn’t work. I suspect this is part of the problem. I will use this work around for now, but ideally the public calendar associated with my .edu account would work.

  I noticed that the calendar (link) you posted in your first reply does not have the right permissions to show its events to the public. Within Google Calendar there are several permission options in order to show events to the public. Please make sure all permissions are correctly set, or that you have the right permissions from the administrator to publish the calendar.
