  Hi
  I’m using the old version from my hosting company I need to update to 2.5 How to? Do I have to ask my hosting company to do so or where do i upload the new version? Will my files be lost from the previous version?

  Please ask your hosting company.

  Installation issues are answered over at http://wordpress.org/support/

  When you ask them, provide specific information such as version no., blog address etc.

  I would suggest not using the one-click update if your host offers it as it has been causing problems. Carefully follow the instructions at wordpress.org and make sure you have a complete backup, including the database, before you begin.
