  My browser is Chrome.
  How do I know what version of WP I’m using?
  I’ve d/l v. 2.8.4 and unzipped it. How do I install it?

  If you’re talking about http://eli77025.wordpress.com/ , then you don’t bother about versions, and you can’t install versions. That’s for wp.ORG, not wp.COM blogs – see the Stickies up top in this forum.

  Also, wordpress.COM is always up to date, and is as secure as they can possibly make it.
