Update all blog pages at once
-
I want to transfer two non-blogging websites to wordpress. Currently I can change all pages of my site by going to one page and changing, say, an ad out. That new ad automatically appears on every page in the same area without having to go into each page and change it. Is this possible with wordpress? If so, how would I do that?
Thank you! -
Hi there, we do have a “bulk edit” feature that allows you to e.g. turn on/off comments on all posts or update the post author.
You specifically mentioned inserting ads, so please refer to the following support article about advertising on WordPress.com to determine if it’s right for you: http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/

Maybe I’m not explaining my question correctly. I have a 250 page website want to transfer to WordPress and build pages not posts. I was wondering if you can use plugins or something else so that you can put common areas into your blog that appear on all your pages and can edit one page and have the changes appear on every page of your blog. I currently use includes on my website and can upload something to one page and it updates every page on my site. Thank you.

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.
