Update an A Record on My Account

  I cannot get to my A Record and I would like to chat with someone from WordPress or send a message, but the only help that I keep getting directed to is to Ask in the Forums. I want to update an A Record on my account – I need to change an IP address. I cannot get to this on my free account, or at least I cannot figure out how to get to it. I need to get it updated.

  Hello! May I ask what your goal is, in changing your A Record? I think that will help guide us to the right steps to take and/or people to ask.

  For instance, did you purchase a domain somewhere else, and are looking to map that domain to your current wordpress.com site? If so, this page can help: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  I typed “update an A Record” in the search bar and this is what the results were:

  In order to map a domain, you’ll need a paid upgrade here on WordPressdotcom. Here’s more on the available plans: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  If you wish to add the Personal plan, purchase that first before mapping your domain.
