Update autogenerated Next and Prev links after deleting a post
-
As I suspect is common, at the bottom of each blog post in the theme I’m using are links to the chronologically previous and next posts. I had to delete (that is, trash) a post. (For some reason, after importing my site from another host, I had one post duplicated twice.) But the ‘Next’ link on the previous page still goes to the now missing page.
In other words, the posts A, B, and C had automatically generated Next and Prev links between each page like this: A <-> B <-> C
I deleted post B. The ‘Previous’ link on C now goes to A, but the ‘Next’ link on A still goes to a missing page. (In fact it doesn’t go to the previous URL but, rather, the URL with ‘__trashed’ appended.)
I’ve tried updating the page to regenerate it, but that doesn’t seem to help.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Update: This issue seems to now be resolved — although I’m not sure how. I don’t know whether it got corrected in the course of my endless tweaking of the posts or because there is simply a time lag between deleting the page and when the Next and Prev link data us updated.
But, at any rate, everything now looks OK regarding this particular issue.
