"Update" button

  I’m a newbie working on my second ever post, and the “Update” button has disappeared. What did I do wrong?

  When you are working on a post and saving it as a Draft, you won’t see Update, you’ll see publish and save as a draft (which is what you press to save your work to continue later). Update only appears on posts you have already published, and you want to edit them (noticed an error) or wanted to add some more to the post.

  Have you gone through: http://learn.wordpress.com/ as a beginner that’s your best resource of information to get you started.

  Thanks very much, but I on the draft of my first post I remember (I think) seeing a “Save Draft” button before posting. That seems to have disappeared as well. All I get now is a Safari warning that if I “Leave Page,” I lose all my edits – which hasn’t happened, but it’s a bit disconcerting.

  The online resources have been very helpful from the start, but they seem to focus on what I should be seeing, not on what I’m seeing. Maybe I’m just not looking in the right place?
