-

when working from Safari 8.0.7 (10600.7.12) under mac os X.10.4, if i modify a post (from new interface like https://wordpress.com/post/mathoscope.wordpress.com/424) the button “update” does not appear so i can not record my modif
working from firefox it works, working from the wp-admin old interface it works too
i emptied the cache-memory of Safari, and the extensions of Safari.
is it a bug ?
some months ago it used to work fine, and i dont remember having updated neither Safari nor mac os X.
thanks

@elodouwen can you confirm whether that only happens for you in Safari?
Also is it just happening on one particular post?
-
hi Supernovia, it appears for all the posts of all my blogs, and only from Safari, and it used to work well
i had dedicated Safari to my wordpress activites, now i have to use Firefox, where it works well.. -
Will you please tell us exactly which browser version of Safari you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/?
-
@elodouwen I’ve tested Safari on Mac and can’t duplicate this. What version are you using, and do you have extensions?

Ah now I’m seeing you mentioned that in the original post, sorry about that.
I’m sure you’re aware that as your browser ages, it starts falling out of standards compliance and occasionally you’ll run into to issues because of that. This seems to be one of those. If you can’t update Safari, you can use another browser that is fairly up to date (which is likely why firefox works). If you’re stuck with older browsers in general and something isn’t working, you may be able to use wp-admin instead, at http://mathoscope.wordpress.com/wp-admin/.

Merci supernovia
so simple…
as safari’s updates depend on mac os X’ update (don’t they ?) i will take an other browser, maybe Vivaldi in order to remain free of the rythm imposed by Apple
thank you for the resolution of the problem

Thank you Vincent. As long as the browser is complaint with standards it should work well. Cheers!
