Update button not working in admin

I was updating a site with some new information. I clicked on the update button in the wordpress.com admin. The information updated in the admin, but won’t update on the web site. I was updating an existing post.

I have figured out that the site is using the wordpress.com admin. But the link on the home page is to wordpress.org. When I am in the wordpress.com admin I can see that it has Jetpack.

I suppose this possibly means that the site is not hosted on wordpress.com, but uses Jetpack so they can use the admin at wordpress.com.

    I have a questions.

When a site is self hosted at some web host using the software downloaded from wordpress.org, but uses the admin at wordpress.com through Jetpack, does the actual MySQL database reside on the host they are using or on wordpress.com?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Howdy trancie!
The new dashboard which is used is just an interface, the site is hosted on your Hosting Company including your database as well,
