update created issues with my theme

how do i update the wordpress theme on my end of things using a service like bluehost. I talked to them because none of my functions on my site are working since an apparent update. I talked to bluehost and they said it looked like i needed to update it on my end. All along the top of my site there are lines stating: ‘____ should be compatable with ___ on line ___’ which are all located in the functions folder
When i go to download the new version of wordpress again it looks like there is no folder that includes any update for ‘the stormer’ in the folder but does for the other themes

Does anyone have any suggestions that may help me get my site back up and running?

    hi,

We’re able to help only with websites hosted on WordPress.com.

To clear up any confusion, there are 2 versions of WordPress. WordPress.com is a managed environment different from using the open source WordPress installation. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two, different entities.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

You might check in with your host to see if there’s an error log you could look at for more information. Or, you could look in this forum; perhaps someone there has experienced something similar:
    https://wordpress.org/support/

You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/register.php

Your hosting provider customer support may also be able to help you.

    Hope this helps
