Update email & password

  Hi, I would like to update both my email address and password. The address used on these sites is no longer in use. How to proceed?

  Hello there!

  You can update your email address by going to your Account Settings.
  Now you can enter your new email address, then click “Save Account Settings.”
  You’re going to receive an email at the new address with a confirmation link. You must click the confirmation link to confirm the change and update the email on your account.
  Check in your junk/spam folder if you don’t see the email on your inbox.
  If you don’t receive any email, type modlook in the tag box of this thread to let the Staff know that you need assistance.

  To change your password, from the same Account Settings page go to Security (the lock icon entry, it’s the fourth option below your avatar).

  Thanks for the reply Stefaniamattana,
  I’m sure i’m missing something on this one: The new email address needs verification and to verify one needs to enter a password. This is really my fault for losing the info along the way. Inversley, to change the old password one needs access to the old email address. I currently have neither. The obvious solution is to just start from fresh with a new mail address. If possible i would like to recover the old profiles. Any ideas or am i being really doff? Thanks again. .

  Hi there,

  You can try to recover your old login data by filling up this form: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery.

  If that goes unsuccessfully, before starting over with a new email address etc, type modlook on the tag box on this page, to alert the Staff that you need further assistance.
  In case you don’t manage to recover that by yourself, they’ll be able to help you out.
