  I have updated my credit card and you still send me emails that it needs to be done. I do not want to lose my domain name, please check it out and I hope it is paid up.

  Gotcha! You’ve got two accounts with WordPress.com. Your domain (and the email reminders you’re receiving) are connected to the other account.

  If you sign in using that account and update your payment information, then everything should work correctly.

  OK! I finally got it. I have renewed my domain account and everything is OK. I need to cancel the WordPress account that is not current. I will try to do that next. You have helped me solve my problem. Thank you!

  Hi Jerry,

  Do you mean you want to cancel this account, or the one that owns the domain?

  WordPress.com accounts cannot be cancelled as such, but you can effectively deactivate it by locking it up with a throwaway email address and a secure password:

  Deleting Accounts

  If you want to do this with the other account, please make sure you first transfer the domain over to this account, otherwise you won’t be able to renew the domain again next year.
