update of Jetpack failed to upload and now can't reload

I clicked to update Jetpack plugin today and failed to upload. Now I can’t reload it. It says “destination folder already exists” when I try to reload it. Do I need to delete the actual folder? Thanks for the help.

Hi,
It sounds like you’re having an issue with a self-installed version of WordPress (known as WordPress.org). This forum is only for the hosted version, WordPress.com.
For help with the self-hosted flavor, visit http://wordpress.org/support/ . Please note that the login for that site are different than the ones for wordpress.com.
All of that said, you can FTP into your site and delete the jetpack folder within /wp-content/plugins/, then download the plugin again from the Plugins->Add New screen.
As mentioned, this is for WordPress.com, though, so if you need additional assistance, please open a ticket at http://wordpress.org/support
Cheers!
