Update to a pay plan trasnfering a previously own domain

    Hello. I would like to update the plan for my webpage to a pay plan. It includes a custom domain name. The problem is that I already have the domain name with a different company. Is it possible to transfer the domain name and all the email addreses to WordPress and include them in the plan?

    Is it possible to transfer the domain name
    Yes it is possible to map your domain which is registered with others
    if it is registered with another company this could help you better

    And about Email

    WordPress.com does not offer email services by default, but it does offer email forwarding, whereby you can create a custom ‘@ yourdomainname.com’ email address that you can redirect to an email id of your choice. Once you’ve mapped your domain to WordPress.com, setting up email forwarding is easy. Please check this link to know more:

    In case you’d like to set up a custom mailbox, you can choose free alternatives like Zoho (which is free up to 10 mailboxes including support) as well as paid alternatives like Google Apps, Microsoft Office 365 etc. (I personally recommend Zoho).     Hello Pavan, many thanks for your quick response.

    Still it is not clear to me if, once I map the domain from WordPress with a paid plan, I just cancel my deal with the domain provider. I mean, I will stop paying the actual domain provider and pay oncly WordPress, correct?

    Hello Again :)
    There are number of ways you can manage your domain , WordPress does not support transfer from your domain to WordPress , so you can just map your domain using your existing service provider and rest everything WordPress will take care. You will have to pay your annual fee just for the domain and the plan fees for WordPress.com .
