Update to latest version – error message

Hi,
My site is telling me an update is available and it wants me to update to WordPress 5.8.1 but when I follow the update link I get an error message:
Cheatin’ uh? Sorry, you are not allowed to access this site.
I am confused because its my site and im logged in so I dont understand why I wouldnt be allowed access??
Is anyone able to help me understand whats going on here and help me fix it??

Are you signed in as an admin? It sounds like this might not be the case.
To note, it looks like this looks like getelite.online is a self-hosted site, so our support here might be limited in places.

Yes, I am signed in as an admin and I have access to everything else – it just won’t let me update the WordPress version.
That’s why I find this error message so strange – I am the one and only admin and the only person with access to our website back end, I am logged in and can make edits elsewhere, so I cant help but be a little offended that the error message is telling me I’m not allowed to access my own site (lol).
Seriously though, I am at a loss on how to fix this…

Also, I should add that I have contacted our hosting company for support and they have directed me here, so if you cant help then I’m really not sure what to do.

If your hosting company asked you to contact WordPress support, you’d want to post on the WordPress.org community support forum here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums
We’re WordPress.com, a different entity than the WordPress.org software that you use on your site. There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.
