Update website – no appearance

  Hello, we are a special school in Edinburgh and I’ve been headteacher for around a year now. I’ve asked for help in updating our website and I’ve been told that we are missing a lot of features such as appearance, plug ins and users.

  From checking the forums I noticed that an issue could be that we not on the server but we pay WordPress directly, and have done since 2014, and not a third party like Bluehost as a helper expected.

  What do we need to do from here to enable these features?

  A volunteer has created a wireframe for us on Figma which we’d like to import.

  Correct account: Yes

  Is there a way for me to confirm that I’m an administrator to the site? And if I’m not, can I find out who is and takeover this access as they will likely have left.

  Thanks for this info. Is there a way that I can see who the owners or administrators of the website are? And if not, or they have left, how can I gain Admin rights?

  Hello there,

  In order to gain admin rights you would need to recover the underlining account.

  This could be done with the use of the transaction ID and the account recovery form. This is how the transaction ID could be found https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id
