Update WordPress

  I have a Synology NAS running version 5.3.2 of WordPress. I have tried to install the plugin Yoast SEO but it says it it incompatible with my version of WordPress. I see the latest version is 5.5.1 but the NAS solution does not recognise this. It insists that I have latest version. I have contacted Synology and they says the latest NAS version of WordPress suppield by you is 5.3.2 and If I want it upgraded I need to talk to WordPress. So, that’s what I am doing.

  You’ll want to post to the community forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/, because here we can only help with sites hosted on our servers.

  To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

  We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
