The Fatal Error on acmepoolstag.wpengine.com is caused by a syntax mistake or a conflict in the code you added to your functions.php file, which has effectively stopped the server from processing your site’s instructions. Since this error has locked you out of the WordPress dashboard, you cannot fix it from within the site; instead, you must use the WP Engine User Portal to restore a Checkpoint backup from just before the change was made. Alternatively, you can use SFTP or the WP Engine File Manager to manually access the file, locate the wp-content/themes/ folder, and remove the problematic code to immediately clear the error and regain access to your site.
