Updated my Domain name but my webpage is blank

  Can someone help me. I updated my blog and purchased a doman name and updated it, but my webpage is is blank.
  I dont really understand how to fix it. I’ve been tryng for ages now and I think it may be somethign to do with nameservers??
  It says somethng about NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM.
  I tried to go through the instructions for updating my DNS but the instructions don’t correspond to the prompts on the dashboard.
  Totally confused and I’d really appreciate someone’s help
