Updated post & immediately after several posts/page images are not appearing

  Hi there,

  I updated a page and then suddenly most of the photos on my posts/pages disappeared. Some images are appearing in the post ‘preview’ and/or when I go to edit the post, but then within that same post some images are only visible in HTML view…very strange!

  example:

  homepage works: http://katestraveltips.com
  but this page doesn’t: http://katestraveltips.com/visit_spain/

  Please help!

  Hi there.

  Our records show that a few images were deleted from your Media Library three days prior to your report. If an image is deleted from Media Library, it’ll also be removed from any posts/pages it was included in. This may have been what caused some images to go missing from posts/pages.

  Could you let me know if this seems likely to be the cause, or if you’re noticing images that weren’t deleted from your Media Library that have gone missing. Thanks!

  Thanks for replying! I logged back in later that day and they were all visible…I deleted those images from the media library because I replaced them with new images (so that was not the issue).

  It seems to have been safari acting up perhaps? Everything is working fine now, it was just for an hour or so that none of the images were visible…

  I do have another question though, I purchased a domain for my account (and activated it as my primary domain). When I’m in WP admin editing posts, uploading new posts etc. The URL I see at the top is my old domain (travelspaintips.wordpress.com), is that normal? I could send a screenshot if necessary.

  Ah nevermind! Just found out this is normal because it’s my root domain. Thanks again for your help :)

  Yep, you got it. :) The underlying WordPress.com site address will only be visible to you while logged into the admin area of your site.
