Updated wordpress not can't get into editor.

Hey guys, so we we’ve been putting off updating our site for a few years so we decided to update wordpress to 5.1.1. Unfortunately when I try to login we get a prompt to update the database, which when I click it it times out the page. We’re a small business and we need our site so any advice would be extremely appreciated.

You’re posting into the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com. You started an earlier thread but never replied to the volunteer who offered to help you. It sounds like your unnamed site isn’t hosted here. As it is using the WordPress.org software the correct support forum is at
