  I cannot see any mention of updates in the site plan information. Are updates the responsibility of the owner?

  Ah, i see small print at the bottom says “Every WordPress.com plan includes hassle‑free updates, reliable hosting, and spam protection.”
  I imagine we are responsible for any plugins or themes we upload ourselves?
