Updates don’t seem automatic

It used to be when I visited the main page of my blog I could instantly tell if someone had added a comment just by knowing how many comments had been left before that point. Now, the main page of my blog shows the old number of comments but not the very latest ones until I actually sign in. BTW, I set the settings so that new comments are sent to me by email but when I get to the home page of my blog it gives the old number of comments until I officially sign in.
Could I have done something, or neglected to do something that reset something that controls this??? I hope I’ve explained this well enough so you understand what I’m trying to ask. It’s not a huge issue but the way it was before was just very convenient.

Is there an issue with the updated article numbers as stated in this other article here on the forum?? Should I just wait it out a day or so????

Can someone help me with this issue – is it something I inadvertently did when I updated my sidebar or is it just a temporary glitch with wordpress????

flosuniverse, I tested your blog both logged in and logged out and see no difference in the # of comments.
There is no delay, no reason this should happen and no other reports of similar problems that I’m aware of.
It sounds to me like an overly aggressive cache, either in your browser or at your internet provider.

What web browser are you using?
Holding the Shift key and clicking your browser’s Reload or Refresh button will normally force a reload of the page without cache, so try that for starters.

Internet Explorer and have Comcast as my Internet service.
