  attempting to build the site, when I change writing in a page block and hit update is never updates.

  Are you receiving any sort of error message when you press update?
  It may be a cache issue. Have you tried logging in using a different browser or clearing your browser’s cache?

  I checked your site and although your site is connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack, it is using the open-source WordPress.org software and I would reach out to the Jetpack forums if you continue to have issues:
