Updating an Existing Tumblr Import
-
If I had previously imported my Tumblr blog onto WordPress, but I have made many more posts since then, how do I begin a fresh import with all my new posts? The Tumblr importer tool currently marks that blog import as “finished” and will not allow me to start a fresh import with all of my posts from the past several months.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi thejakeformerlyknownasprince,
I can see you have started another import since opening this thread. This import is queued so please reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it, as that could be preventing it from starting.
We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. At this point I’m not able to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though.

Thank you for getting back to me, but this does not answer my current question. The import I have in the queue is for a different blog. How do I go about starting a fresh import (or at least getting one into the queue) for a blog I have already imported in the past?
-
@thejakeformerlyknownasprince you won’t be able to run more than one Tumblr import on a site at once.
Do you want to cancel the current import, wait until it’s done, or import into a different WordPress.com site?

I am fine with cancelling the current import. I would like to import a blog that has previously been imported, preferably to the same WordPress site that I imported to the last time.

Hi there,
It appears that the import for your site is currently running, so it will hopefully complete soon.
We cannot cancel an import once it is in the queue, but once the current import finishes, you’ll be able to start a new import.
