Updating categories

  Hi Guys,
  Sorry to bother but please help. I am trying edit my categories and it will not let me update. What to do? I press update and nothing happens.

  What kind of edits are you trying to do? What browser and version are you using, and have you tried the Cookie Dance? http://raincoastermedia.com/2012/05/01/the-cookie-dance/

  It won’t let you because you’ve used the same words as tags as well. Categories and tags are the same data, so you should never use the same word or phrase as both a category and a tag: it makes no difference as far as search engines and the WP global tag pages are concerned, plus it creates technical problems such as the one you’re experiencing. To edit your categories you must first delete all the redundant tags.
